We’ve already had quite a successful week with our wedding preparations, with a first session with our pastor and all invitations being sent out. But we were kind of on a roll and so we used the momentum. I booked a hairdresser who will come to my home that day and get my hair all pretty. I did not want to spend more money than necessary but my sweetheart encouraged me to not save money in the wrong places. And yes, I do consider it an advantage that I do not have to drive to the hairdresser and back wearing jeans and a veil and possibly even braving the weather (you just never know…). The week continued and so did our preparations. Thanks to Lufthansa, who again transferred a rather generous contribution towards our wedding expenses, we went to buy our wedding rings yesterday – another thing ticked on our to-do-list.
And as if all of that hadn’t been enough, I also ordered my wedding dress yesterday – from China! After browsing through literally thousands of webpages and hours of research I found out that this is the most attractive option for me. Yes, I am a bit adventurous but considering the amounts of money you can spend on a dress that only lasts for one day, it was easy to go for the Chinese option. Not only is there a huge variety to choose from, but it is also much more inexpensive. I did have second thoughts first whether my choice to go for China would mean little children have to sow my dress during a 16-hour-job. But some research provided information that this manufacturer has been certified by an independent international organisation and been approved. So the facts, that they received very good recommendations at EBay.co.uk and have been doing this for more than ten years were merely a bonus. I know it’s rather unconventional but I am at peace and really look forward to receiving my dress. Even if a few alterations are necessary afterwards, it’s still much less money spent than the 1200 Euro the dress would have cost me here… I’ll keep you posted on how things develop with my Chinese friends
